Position Summary:
Atlantic Fenestration Systems is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Architectural Aluminum Fabricator to join our growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for fabricating commercial aluminum doors, box frames, storefront systems, and related architectural aluminum products in accordance with shop drawings, manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication & Production:
- Fabricate commercial aluminum doors, box frames, storefront framing, and related products.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, fabrication schedules, and production documents.
- Measure, cut, machine, assemble, and prepare aluminum components for fabrication.
- Install hardware reinforcements, weatherstripping, glazing adapters, and other components as required.
- Ensure all fabricated products meet company quality standards and project specifications.
- Perform quality checks throughout the fabrication process.
- Package completed products for shipment or staging.
Equipment Operation:
Quality Control:
- Verify dimensions and tolerances before fabrication.
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
- Identify and report material defects or production concerns.
- Maintain clean, organized workstations to promote quality workmanship.
Safety & Housekeeping:
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
- Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Participate in safety meetings and training.
Teamwork:
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and fellow fabricators.
- Assist in other production areas as needed.
- Communicate production issues promptly.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the shop.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
Preferred:
- Experience fabricating commercial aluminum doors and frames.
- Experience working in an architectural aluminum or glazing manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read fabrication drawings and blueprints.
- Experience with CNC machining equipment.
- Familiarity with Kawneer, Tubelite, YKK, Oldcastle, or similar commercial aluminum systems.
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
